Can you land your dream job by advertising yourself?

In this day and age, it’s hard to find a job – what more to get people wanting you in their organization (especially when you don’t have any working experience)? Here are some interesting people who advertised themselves, to be a “wanted” employee.

Alec Brownstein definitely had a good insight for the recent Google campaign he ran, the one he did to brand himself.  People do google themselves, so he created a text ad targetting those people who might be looking for a copywriter like him. His ad simply said “Googling yourself is a lot of fun. Hiring me is fun too.” He’s now hired by Y&R New York. Read about it here.

In another attempt to get a job, David Rowe, an unemployed graduate turned himself into a human billboard and walked around streets. He generated about 250 enquiries! Read about it here.
