One of the pioneer viral hits on the net was the one we can remember from Ally McBeal’s Hallucinations. Yes, the dancing baby that got the woman’s wrinkles out.
Another famous one would be the Peanut Butter Jelly Time’s “pixellated” GIF file.
And if you thought Friendster was the first ever social network, then you’re wrong – it’s actually called Six Degrees. It lasted from 1997 – 2001, being the first manifestations of social networking websites in the format now seen today.
